Veterans often don't know they have VA debt until it's already in collections. The VA's debt portal currently requires too many steps to understand what's owed and what options exist. We'll research how Veterans experience debt notifications, test new ways to surface financial information earlier, and design interfaces that make resolution straightforward. The work covers benefit overpayments and copay debt that Veterans manage through VA.gov.
